Mumble 'Women In Art' Dinner and Panel Talk X WAAW World.

On September 27th, WAAW World, Mumble Forum, and Unit Gallery united to present the exclusive Women in Art Dinner and Panel Discussion, a powerful event dedicated to elevating women’s voices in both art and business. This prestigious evening, featuring VIP attendees such as Karen Millen OBE, Leila Bartell, Carrie Scott, Annoushka Beckwith, and others, highlighted the shared mission of both organisations: to challenge gender disparity and promote female leadership.

WAAW World, known for its global commitment to improving the representation of female artists, joined forces with Mumble Forum, an award-winning community dedicated to supporting female-led businesses and fostering a diverse network of businesswomen and industry leaders. Together, they created an inclusive evening where women thrived, driving progress and empowerment in the art world and beyond.

The event featured insightful conversations led by renowned art historians, curators, and emerging talent who are reshaping the industry. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with influential speakers, including:

  • Carrie Scott, an American/English curator and TV presenter with over two decades of global collaborations with artists and galleries.

  • Katy Richfield, an art specialist with nearly 30 years of experience, currently Collection Manager at Moco Museum, London.

  • Priya Khanchandani, a celebrated curator and design journalist known for curating the Amy Winehouse Exhibition and *The Off Beat Sari* at London’s Design Museum.

  • Bobbi Essers, a rising star in contemporary art, recognized as one of Artsy's "Top Ten Emerging Painters" and recipient of the Royal Award for Modern Painting from HRH King Willem-Alexander.

The evening proved to be a thought-provoking exploration of gender equality, representation, and the ongoing journey of women in art. As the legacy of the 1970s Feminist Art Movement continues to inspire new generations, this dinner honored and propelled the next wave of female creatives.

We extend our sincere thanks to the event’s partners: Cheffie London, Unit Gallery, Mozart Concierge, Maison Margaux, Lady A wine, Ferrari Trento, Margin London, Pam Weinstock London, Fragrance Du Bois, Hollywood Browzer and Visual Marvels, for their invaluable support.

The captivating exhibition surrounding the women in art dinner by Bobbi Essers will be on view at Unit Gallery for the next two months. Make sure to visit and witness this extraordinary celebration of friendship and connection while you still can!
